Academic Transcript
Key Points:
- Please allow at least one month to obtain this, as your university may take time to prepare and authenticate the documentation.
- The document must be an original, on university-headed paper and signed/stamped by a person with authority to give such information.
What is an Academic Transcript?
This is list of all the courses you have taken / are due to take as part of your Bachelor's degree. We require course marks and the course option titles in full. Transcripts are obtainable from your university registrar or school secretary. Alternatively, you can have your personal tutor compose a signed letter on university-headed paper detailing the courses you have taken.
Some universities have an online student record system whereby students are able to access their own academic results data. A print-out of the online academic transcript can be accepted as long as it displays the applicantfs full name and has been authenticated with a signature and a university stamp by a person with the authority to do so. The signature and stamp must be original, not scanned or photocopied.
*FOR FINAL YEAR STUDENTS: Your academic transcript must also list ALL modules to be taken in your final year - including those not yet completed /taken. In the case that your university is unable to supply you with an authenticated, original transcript for modules yet to be taken, a letter written by the university registrar or your personal tutor might be acceptable. If in doubt, please contact the JET Desk.
Transcripts for postgraduate qualifications are not strictly necessary but are readily accepted, especially in cases of a combined Bachelor's and Master's degree.
