About the JET Programme

The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme, an official Japanese Government scheme, sends graduates to Japan in order to promote international understanding at grass-roots level and to improve foreign language teaching in schools. Now in its 25th year, the JET Programme has placed around 50,000 participants from over 50 countries in positions throughout Japan.

University Promotions

Every autumn the JET Programme UK visit a number of university campuses across the UK to give presentations about working and living in Japan as a JET participant. A link to the calendar for 2012 university promotions is now posted here.
Please contact your university careers office for the details of the presentations.

Be the face of JET!

The UK JET Programme is looking for people who have returned from JET and are interested in promoting the Programme. We are looking for written accounts and photographs of life on JET, especially photos of JETs 'in action'. Please contact us at info@jet-uk.org to find out more.
